Database Replication Installation
This Configuration Guide provides a complete description of the installation and configuration steps for the Bentley OpenUtilities Designer database version 08.11.09.XX.
Installation Notes
- This document assumes that a person with Oracle DBA knowledge and permissions will be performing the steps in this installation guide.
- All the Bentley provided utilities and script files referenced in this document are included as part the current distribution, i.e., ..\ Program Files\Bentley\UtilitiesDesigner
- This document assumes there is a computer (centralized replication computer) that will be used to create the replication publication and subscribe users, and then those subscriptions will be installed using webtogo setup on each client laptops. The centralized replication computer must have Oracle 9i Client, Oracle 10g Lite Mobile SDK and Bentley OpenUtilities Designer installed before proceeding with the instructions included in this document. For Bentley OpenUtilities Designer with replication, the following system configurations are required.
- A laptop can have either Oracle Lite alone or Oracle Lite and Oracle client installed. This document does not provide installation instructions for any Oracle products.
